I think Krugs defensive issues really get overblown. He’s not terrible at defense he’s just small. Gryz is excellent defensively and still gets taken advantage of occasionally. Krugs vision from the point is really only matched by EK and Burns. If he were 6ft tall he’d be considered one of the best in the game

Considering Krug puts up 40+ points every season. One blunder or two every now and again doesnt really bother me. He contributes more than the majority of the Bruin's bottom six.

If he put up as many points as Burns or Karlsson, he would be in the Norris discussion. Heck i think if he manages a 60+ point season one of these years, he will likely be there. Cant speak enough good about this guy. He is the power play anchor.

Depends if you mean healthy or not... been a revolving door as of late.

Chara - McAvoy
Carlo - Krug
Gryz - Miller

I assume it will be that when healthy

Last night was a hodgepodge of:

Chara - McAvoy
Carlo - Moore
Kampfer - Clifton

The media doesn't bash Krug. It's a valid talking point. Yes he puts up points, great. In his own end he isn't as good as you would like.

as much as i like krug bruins should trade him in the offseason. with the expansion draft coming up i would be protecting mcavoy carlo and Grzelcyk. Krug will be looking for a raise after next year and hopefully Vaakanainen can step in and replace krug.

Trade Krug for what? if its not a top 3 winger, its gonna hurt the team. Krug is no shut down defenseman, but he's more than merely "serviceable".

sidenote: how about Marchand hitting 90 points...
100 point season for his is in reach, first since Savard?

He is a beast. That top line continues to impress.

As for trading Krug, it would be a mistake. The second he goes we are going to wonder what happened to the powerplay. People really need to quit fishing for problems when things are going well.

Imagine if Pasta and Bergy were healty all season. If not for that cheap poop ass hit he took from Faksa we would be seeing Bergy hitting 100pts.

I had all three in my box pool. These injuries killed my chances. I was 1/350 for the first two months.

Against Tampa in the playoffs though, probably need to split up the line.
