Hart got it done tonight, bailed out Ghost and Jake. looked calm and in control. And the 4th line looked pretty good. Bailey is fast, just not great with the puck on/around his stick. Good for Knight. Konecny was so close...

Hart was spectacular. Was a fun game to be at. Lots of Flyers fans. Not sure if it could be heard on TV but lots of Let's Go Flyers as well E-A-G-L-E-S chants.

Chicago is a fun city and that looked like a good road trip to make.

Ladies and Gentlemen.

We finally have the franchise goalie we have been seeking, and we have him for the foreseeable future. (as does my fantasy keeper team)

There, I said it.

The scary thing is there are 3 other goalies in our organization that could be just as good.

I know Hart was brought up kind of out of necessity at the time, but last night i was wondering. If Hextall was still here, would we be seeing Hart or would we have had to watch Alex Lyon or mike Mckenna finish out the year?

To be fair, it wasn't just Hextall, it was also Gordon who said he wasn't ready at the time.

But I think he would have been up no matter what.

Who are those 3? Hart is one of the most decorated junior goalies in history.

Yep. It's not likely by any means, but they COULD be.

Just like we currently have one prospect defenseman under contract who could be as good as Provorov and about 4 prospect forwards who could be just as good as Giroux.

I mean, it's incredibly unlikely those those guys turn into franchise players...but COULD, yes.

I watched the replay this morning and one view it sure looked like it to me. They review everything so maybe not.

Yea, I'm watching the Chicago feed thinking are these guys blind. imo it changed direction, trajectory was going up and went into the net going down. Eddie O is an awful announcer too geez.

The replay I saw it looked like he did NOT tip it. I also believe after the game on Post Game that he said he didn't touch it.

So apparently I'm having a meeting at work today to discuss time for a meeting.

What you do at Initech is you take the specifications from the customer and bring them down to the software engineers?

Ersson took a quantum leap from last season to this one, and was playing against pros (albeit in the highest Swedish minor league and not the top level). Ustimenko has dominated the Russian junior ranks, but has yet to play against pros. Sandström was a hot prospect a couple years ago and still a decent one -- he'll be with the Phantoms next season -- but hasn't played much the last two seasons (last season due to injury and this season because the other guy on HV71 beat him out for the starting job).

Usti's slated to make the jump to Vladivostok next season? Looks like they were running a 23-yo and 21-yo tandem this past season, but Serebryakov's contract runs out after the year.
