As for the roster next year, should prove interesting to see what they go ahead and do, and not just with the defence. Everyone seems to also forget the cap should rise the next couple years, esp with expansion revenue pouring in for Seattle.

8 more games then we will see what kind of heart and soul our team has. Playoffs anything can and does happen and that always includes upsets and surprises.

For the teams who have the space it is not wise to give up 4 1st round picks when your team sucks.

Second, there will be a lot of backlash for a player who signs an offer sheet. Especially in cities like Toronto.

Dustin Penner couldn’t even go out to the grocery store without getting attacks. He was booed every game. He said he hated Edmonton after that....not a good situation to be in.
