That one is deeply troubling.

The Leafs are 15th overall in GA this season, and pretty much right in the middle of the high/low range. Could the defense be improved? Absolutely. But it's not a complete tire fire either, and there is in all likelihood some help in the pipeline over the next few seasons.

For a team that "forgot about defense" in their rebuild they certainly spent a lot of early round picks on defensemen the past few years.

We give up the 2nd most Shot attempts in the league 30th overall and 3rd most SHots against. Our D especially with an injury or 2 are not that good. Good goaler can hide that...we are early in the rebuild, but lots in here expect cup runs already and are gearing up for a coaching change. I love the team but our D are “just ok” IMO
