Happy Friday evening, my friends of Billy Joel.

Don't know if you've seen this:

https://deadspin.com/wher...landers-belong-1833203859

I'm honestly not trolling here - just wondering what you ladies and gents really feel about the new location vs. the old location (I'm pretending Brooklyn never happened).

I realize that there's a lot of roadblocks (no transportation pun intended), but if your choices were:

a) dump money (but significantly less than the money required in option b)) into refurbishing the hell out of the old arena; or

b) moving forward with the new arena.

What would you really prefer?

I've never bought the idea that you couldn't refurb Nassau - FFS, new arenas cost a billion dollars these days - surely somebody clever could come up with a plan to fix up the old barn.

Just my own feelings: I don't care either way. Just get shovels in the ground on something permanent.

Whatever it takes to stay in NY but the Coliseum really sucks for bathrooms and concessions. Would be great if they built a new arena with a low ceiling

This team has been given 100 chances by all the other teams sucking around them, new parity in the NHL and everyone is going to games still. Pretty brilliant on betmans part there are teams that are barely .500 with a chance still. Also makes what Tampa has done more impressive in the cap era

Andrew Ladd- Performing As Expected
This was just a bad signing and signs pointed to it. Ladd was turning 31 in the first season of his contract and the year before signing, he had seen his PP82 dip all the way down to 48.2, his lowest total since 2009-10. But since coming to New York, Ladd has seen a different level of decline. He’s been averaging between 30 and 35 PP82 in each season (despite missing most of this season) and judging on his decline that started before signing, things could only get worse with Ladd in the next four years of his contract. Should he at least maintain around 35 PP82 for the next few seasons, it’s better than declining and he’s been producing at a consistent pace across the last few seasons. It’s just not a great pace

I get the stats say this but hes (frank)ing awful, points aside he brings absolutely zero intangibles like heart desire and effort to name a few

Ladd drains teams energy, you can see it by their play, he needs the press box

He needs to be exiled to Siberia.
