Garth, what the heck? Look at the damage Todd McClellan did to the Oilers. Really, why would we even consider him as a coach. Ted Nolan could do better with all the talent that is now on the Sabres.

Living in Alberta and seeing first hand. Coach TM wasnt the problem. He was the scapegoat for Chiapet, then he got fired too. Bad trade after bad trade and the coach was one that got all the blame. Oilers are no different than the Sabres, both one line teams with suspect defence and below average goaltending.

Never understand with NHL why certain coaches get 3rd and 4th chances ahead of giving a newer coach a chance!

It’s 2015 all over again. Remember when Garf was waxing about Babcock licking his lips at the prospect of coaching zadorov, freakarenko, Ristolainen , pysyk and Reinhart? How’d that work out? What about noted gunslinger GMTM? Housley? The five premium pieces for ROR? Is Garth ever right?

The Oilers have 3-4 caliber NHL forwards. The are not trading RNH who is in a good contract. They are certainly not trading RNH for Masters Champion -41 Ristolainen. I am thinking McDavid would not be a fan of that deal

BTW, I thought Middlestadt was the #2 of the future? Too young? Not panning out? I guess that's why they won't get a top end #2 centre for #7. Draft picks, even at #7 are still unknowns

I don't think you can claim it is 2015. Babcock had half the league after him. I don't think Todd McLellan is in that high of demand.

Honestly, if Todd McLellan wants to coach in the NHL next year, Buffalo may be his only option.
