They'll draft a D. York, Heinola or Harley IMO.

I watch a lot of Gaston Therrien, I'm now an expert on stuff I don't really know.

Won't they have a chance to pick Suzuki's brother at 15?

I feel like I could say any name and no one would know unless they google it. They should draft Connor Stapleton.

I don't know any of these kids, and we don't know how the draft will unfold,
but I'm pretty sure they'll pick a dman

I see a bunch of D picked with the 2nd round picks and after. The 1st round pick will be the best player on their board IMO and IKFA

What's going BS!

Good blog, I agree with most of what you say... except Petry has 2 years left, not 1 and I dont believe there's any chance Karlsson comes to Montreal, the league really needs to address the tax difference issue, its really not a level playing field and that's what the cap is in place for.

All for both Poehling and Suzuki on the roster next season, have been the whole time, 20 year olds are breaking through everywhere else and making an impact, why not Montreal, if ya got 'em, play 'em!

Thompson, Benn, Hudon and Reilly gone

Contracts to Kulak, Armia, Weal and maybe Folin

On the fence regarding Lehkonen... and stay away from FA all together, trade for a D

I am not sure Suzuki is ready for the NHL physically. He might need some time in the AHL to prepare himself.

That's cause hes not a FA, he'll most likely be gone from the NHL roster next year

He may, he's got a summer to prepare to prove to the organization that he is ready

Agreed. I find WJC a good showcase for how a young player might translate to the NHL. And though Suzuki is dominant in the OHL, he was not at the WJC. His talent was evident with some nice moves and nice passing, but he definitely was not controlling the play.
