Nice work Ben. Isles have some obvious concerns in terms of playoff performance among the forwards. Nelson, Bailey, and Eberle really need to do much better. I do not get playing Moose over MDC. MDC has not looked out of place. Play MDC in Game one and if he struggles you go to Moose.

I’ll never understand some coach’s tendency to lean on vets in the playoffs even if they aren’t good players to begin with. Yeah he has “two cup rings” but did he even play in one of those runs? I remember him not playing for some reason? If he looks like his usual self I hope Trotz doesn’t hesitate to throw MDC in there if the kid gets blitzed then you pull him. We already know what we’re getting with kuhnackl.

I hope so, because the Islanders will need them if they're going to beat the Pens. Also, they're both UFAs, so it would definitely be worth $$ to them, especially Eberle who is coming off a mediocre regular season.

I just do not get it Cpt. MDC had a nice assist on that Nelson goal and MDC has been good on defense and in the corners. It is interesting how coaches are hesitant with young players. I think MDC should get this 1st game.
