You really think Dallas is going to fold that much to the Preds? I think Preds win but 6-7. Maybe if Bishop can steal a game or two Dallas can beat the Preds

Edmundson didn't see the ice for the last 6:14. Injury? Benching?

Any time I have ever put any faith in Dallas, they fold big time and I would rather they win so.....

After the first period I was shocked. The Jets were willing to make the big hits which in today's game usually means you are taking yourself out of the play. Sure enough odd man rushes. I kept thinking stay with it and the chances will come.

There's a time for making the big hits. The Jets seemed willing to risk a goal to establish a physical presense.

It's going to be a good series.

The Blues dmen are getting heavy pressure from the Jets forwards. That's ok. Three of the dmen are capable of exploiting that.

Yep, this, so much this. He was unreal, but he's the real deal. So mobile, likes to play the puck, cool-headed... reminds me of Brodeur. Does he also coordinate his defence? If so, you guys are going far.

Binnington played well and was very calm, but Hellebuyck had a fantastic game at the other end of the ice too. I wouldn't say Binnington stole this one. Blues out chanced and won the corsi battle, pouring it on in the third. Great game.

Interesting game.

The Jets were trying to hit everything that moved. They are huge but by trying to hit everything, they gave up a lot of odd man rushes the other way. I will take it.

I read somewhere that Edmunson didn't play the last part of the game. Is that true? Injury?

Thomas's first playoff game was interesting. Fanned on some shots, lost edges a few times, punched in the face. He was in the play a lot which was encouraging. Just need to calm nerves.

Zach "all I do is toe drag" Sanford probably should be sitting. Rather have MacKenzie play on the fourth line for a little more sandpaper.

LGB!

You can't ask for a better start than that.

I love sending a jacked-up home crowd like that to the exits a crushing defeat.

If you consider that running the goalie..I weep in jest.
Schieffle was trying to go inside and Binny literally leaned into him and took the hit.
They need to stop protecting goalies so much...
Goalies are constantly playing into the hit and/or running interference.
It's becoming a joke honestly.
And don't be all jaded....all goalies do it

Scheifele knew he had a good chance of running into Binnington and decided to risk it, he saw the goalies route back to the net. He didn't lean in to draw it.

Fun game, agree with the consensus that the Jets were going for the big hit and often taking themselves out of the play. Though, it does make me nervous to see 91 or 27 being on the receiving end of one of those hits.

Speaking of hits, how about Schenn? Guy was a little wrecking ball last night.

Bortuzzo as well. This means it likely was a coach decision.
