No because it's too long but I'd at least see what he is like to start next season before giving up quality young assets to dump him only months after he was signed.

The fact he was signed so recently also makes it seem pretty unlikely that Oil management will sour on him and experience buyers remorse so quickly. I think most people are too stubborn for that.

The reason the Flames have secondary scoring is because they don't have 21 million tied up with two players. And their top players actually play defence, except for JG. And their defence consists of 6 NHL quality Dmen. One of them being a Norris candidate. And their fourth line can actually score goals and defend with the best of them. Unlike the "Identity Line" up north. The Oilers aren't a couple of moves from making them a contender, they are about 8 positive moves from being there. And with the Oilers track record of moves lately, I see them not winning any deals anytime soon.
