that PP goal was because of Nylander and retaliation ....by hitting him in the face with his stick....thats what I heard from on my TV

he did it on purpose..and when you intentionally hit someone in the head with your stick thats fine that you get 2 mins

On the Marner pemalty shot...did they ever review if the puck had gone in prior to the net coming off?

Reg season Boston was #2 in Penalty minutes taken 797
the Leafs were dead last with 503

I know its just 1 game, but Boston got 2 PP to the Leafs 1

I think if they keep the penalty mins low like that it benefits the Leafs in the series. the Leafs can carry the play at 5v5 with the 3 lines vs Bostons top 3

Problem is, I dont see that happening. they just dont call the games properly most of the time. they just try to keep the PIM even'ish and ignore a lot of poop if its going to give one team an advantage, which based on the Reg season that would be the Leafs

I thought the Leafs played an excellent counter punch game. They'd wait for the Bruins to go for it and then there'd be a three on one screaming the other way. It's a dangerous way to play but it worked really well. And Chara deserved about 5 penalties before he finally got nailed.

Chara is that kind of player, that gets away with way more than others for some reason....

I call this the Chris Pronger effect.

Boston didnt have their best game and the leafs played one of their best games of the season. If the leafs continue to play like that, even if boston ups their game, i feel the leafs could pull off a series victory

That's because the refs were afraid of an errant Pronger elbow to their face.

Same with Patrice Brisebois.
