Malkin would be our best player by a giant margin. As long as he stays healthy

- mdw7413

Hes over 30, and this team is finally loading up with top prospects.

If they were one piece away from winning a cup i would say do it. But this team is finally doing it right. Let's let nature take its course a little. We are still in this rebuild. I am not trading our top 4 assets for him right now

Not at the cost it would take to trade him to a division rival. Seeya K'Andre
- TPC

It's not going to happen so I wouldn't worry. But I don't think it'd cost as much as you'd think. You'd be doing them a tremendous favor by clearing $9.5M in cap space.

It's really only an insult to Lucic, for those who can read between the lines a little, and not a joke at the expense of a tragedy

I know I was joking.

Art Staple doing an Isles Q&A on The Athletic, I figure none of you are in attendance so here's an interesting little tidbit:

First, I don't believe for a second he would be traded in division, but if they were that desperate, you don't give up top prospects.

He's already starting to go the wrong way. and I'm the one that is the window licker wanting to gain more young assets.

I just don't see any other way to land one of the top scorers in the league then

Let's say the Penguins want, Kravtsov, Lundqvist, Strome and the Jet's 1st. (That might not even be enough.) Why would you people want that?

You lose wing depth with the Rangers don't have, RHD depth which they don't have and cap space for a player over 30.

I know it's not the case, but it almost feels like they're keeping Hedman out so they have an excuse

Malkin is amazing, but not the right time to trade for him. We are not a piece away from serious contenders. If he was 27 or younger I would consider the trade above

Nope. I'm starting to think twice about Malkin. Great player on the downside of his career who is also injury prone. If we were close I would do it. Pass.
