Nik Kyprios just stole my thought on Martin/Leafs.

I knew that guy was on HB

You don’t want to be agreeing with Kypreos...don’t be proud of that.

Well Kucherov deserved 3, got 1. So applying the logic in reverse, I'd say Kadri deserves three but will get 6.

I'd mention precedent but we know DoPS doesn't use that.

Kadri will get 2.

He's such an idiot.

I'd say that's a pretty big factor in being an idiot.

I thought he'd get 2 or 3 but since it's an in person hearing, they're gonna give him more than they should again.

As much as we may think that the Leafs got pushed around there were plenty of cases where guys were throwing their weight around. Hell, Kappy had a couple decent hits and Muzzin had one of the best hits of the game to knock Krug out for a potentially long time.

All things considered we went into Boston and stole a game. That's an improvement. Now we desperately need to answer for last night and win game 3. If not then Boston gets a huge mental edge on top of the win.

We'll see; should be a good game, and we al knew it wasn't going to be easy

- BorjeFan4Ever

I thought Kadri was the best player on the ice for either team.

I don't think there was a knee on knee that should have been called a penalty.

I think the Kadri cross check involved substantial embellishment by Debrusk and a one game suspension is more than enough. I would be very okay and could endorse any disciplinary hearing that decided for "no suspension."

I thought Kadri played the game the way Canadians believe it should be played and I think he is being scapegoated because he was the only Leaf who played with the huge heart that you want to see from every player during the NHL playoffs.

Be nice if Shanny goes to bat for Naz. Maybe go to the meeting with a bunch of tape from the game and the shenanigans that the refs let go.
- Garnie

Yes...it was a bit of a free for all last night. What was crossing the line last night?

Stop being noble.. same thing all the do gooders did 93
- BorjeFan4Ever

I guess it's a fault. No doubt I took matters into my own hands back in the day, as most of us probably have, as well as been a victim of someone who fealt the same as I did.

The refs I'm sure would've had a talking to and the game will be called by the letter, as it always is in Toronto when they're under the spotlight.

Play how you're built; you did ok this year playing fast and skilled, you're not going to turn this team into the '74 Flyers.

It's whether or not you're intimidated by the physicality or not and can play through it.

Guy's like Nylander, riding shotgun with Kadri: you're going to be a target; he's not that kind of a player. Call him a softie, whatever, but let that kid center the 3rd line and start scoring, start breaking out and sustaining pressure, not poopting his pants in the corner.

Ennis though, he's not afraid to get hit. He'll be ok.

- gravyface

I'm not slagging Ennis in the least. He's not afraid of anything...he should be, but he isn't. I think he'd tire the man mountain out a bit - it's a long series.

Bruins were good, and completely bought into the physical game because they were confident there wouldn't be much retribution. Pastrnak, Wagner, DeBrusk, Krejci, etc
This was a tough guy last night

Nobody had any issue with Kadri up until his junior hockey-tier spaz. Controlling your emotions is probably the hardest part of playing in the playoffs and he's too old not to have a better grip on himself

That's called leaning into a hit to stabilize yourself after contact

Bracco needs to get 2 points to tie for the AHL scoring lead and today is the last game of the season.

The Marlies are also sitting a bunch of guys.

SHUT. THE. (frank). UP.

It's a (frank)ing knee and you know it. The video and images clearly show it. Probably why Kadri immediately grabbed his knee when he went down.

Debrusk clearly leaned in with his shoulder to make contact for a hit. It's not his fault Kadri tried to bail at the last second and leave himself in a compromising position. If he took the hit straight on it would have been a good direct hit but Kadri likes trying to dramatically avoid hits and the consequence of that is leaving your leg exposed.
