What Kadri gets isn't the question.

The question is how exactly do you deal with it when one team seemingly is allowed to do whatever they want without consequence?

It seems like the answer is that you play the same way and get penalized or suspended, or you just bend over and take it in the ass from the league, again.

I sure hope behind the scenes, that someone is saying something about all this. I am getting a little sick of the Leafs passive response as an organization. Someone from every other organization would be going ape-poop over a game like Saturday.

- Aetherial

We just need them to play through the shenanigans and focus: the Habs used to beat the Bruins by taking the hit and continuing on with the play, and not getting involved in all that crap and that was in the 70s/80s/90s when it was a helluva lot different out there.

Refs, as bad as they were on Saturday, won't let that continue; I'm sure the league reviewed all of that and Game 3 is going to be tightly called.

100% agree.
I think Kadri did Leafs a favor; he'll get 5+ games (although I think that's way too much) but Leafs will bring up the Bruins' dirty play and referees not applying the rules.
Every interference, slash, and other dirty Bruins' play will be penalized - and Leafs will be able to play their speed game without getting headhunted by Chara, McAvoy and co.

+/- is the world's worst stat.

It is all about 5 on 5 scoring differential.

In any case, Karlsson just has bad luck, he is always just stepping on or off the ice just as the other team is scoring.

- Aetherial

Karlsson is -3 in the playoffs, so is the 7 goals including PP goals?
cuz well thats dumb

and yes, its about 5v5, if plus minus stat removed empty net goals it would be a huge improvement

Also so far in the playoffs Pavelski -5, Stamkos -5, Crosby -4, Bergeron -3

No doubt tonight we'll see a lot of penalties. There won't be another game like game 2. Refs had a talking to by the NHL after all that criticism of the game getting out of hand.
Ironically, it was the Bruins who ended up injured after that game. Krug likely is done for the playoffs.

After being sidelined 6 weeks, Karlsson has played 4 games (1 reg season and 3 PO's) - average TOI 24:37, +/- 0 with 5 assists. Guy is just awful

CBJ with clean, hard hits

Pastrnak a blatant charging headshot and a knee on knee by Debrusk.

The physical game isn't the problem. The problem is that the league does not protect the players from cheapshots against certain teams.

- Aetherial

This is 100% truth.

You also forgot to mention blatant elbow to the face that drew blood and a cross check to the face drawing blood. The

The league is an absolute joke. They don't even bother to hide it.

Yeah that doesnt sound so bad.

I have no idea what type of game we are going to see tonight.
There is no way Boston could keep up the same play every game, they will lose good players to injury and already have.

Is that a great gameplan overall if you want to go deep?

Looks like TB is on the way out, what a surprise. Opens the door for a team like the Leafs to walk through it if they want it bad enough

Leafs should have a fair chance against the BJ's next round (2-1 in reg season). Leafs vs Isles or Caps in the ECF should be fun...

If the refs aren't totally blind and call the game as the rule book says the leafs are fine.

But calling garbage chincy stuff on the leafs and letting blatant poop go for the Bruins that draws blood is gonna flavor the Bruins.

The worst thing, when Kadri got kneed by DeBrusk, is watching the other 4 Leafs just stand there, watching.

I can't think of many other teams where that would happen.

Not sure why you and santo believe the leafs are in a better position with kadri out. Why so nylander can play center on the 3rd line? Cause he had a couple of good games there?
Deb!tch deserved to be hit, but kadri was dumb in how he went about it.

They're not in a better position but they are in a better position to withstand the loss compared to last year.

The fact that we have to now make do with only Matthews and Tavares as our top centres is pretty neat.
