I have two very close friends from London around Naz’s age. They also tell stories of clubbing and blow etc.

My point is, who the (frank) cares? He doesn’t have to behave, he was a popular young man being a dumbass like everyone else. I don’t doubt that he’s done stupid poop, I’ve done dumb poop and so have you. None of it has anything to do with his game. Nylander is the one who needs to be traded. Can’t build a winning culture if all your stars want to be pussies.

- Arctic_AARDVARK

I’m not talking about that kind of stuff man. I’ve heard all that poop too. I actually just went to a friend of mines wedding know played with Kadri for two years in London.

This situation is a little different...he’s not well respected around the league and for good reason. I don’t spill poop on the internet for people’s personal lives. He has some issues, and he’s shown to carry those issues into work. Which is absolutely a problem.

Oh yeah. So relevant. Reaves lasted half a season in Pittsburgh then they dumped his ass.
- RogerRoeper

While Tom Wilson signs a massive contract. Also both are once again, in the playoffs and will probably have a nice run.

It’s utterly stupid.

This is what the world is becoming. Everyone has their own version of facts and somehow the NHL playoffs has done a compete 180 and physically doesn’t matter. Just watch the games, the team pushing the physical play controls the momentum.

- Arctic_AARDVARK

Lots of series left, I wouldn’t count us out. Muffin had some bad luck and boom, 2 in our net. Can’t see the Bruins getting away with some of that early stuff for too much longer.

CBJ with clean, hard hits

Pastrnak a blatant charging headshot and a knee on knee by Debrusk.

The physical game isn't the problem. The problem is that the league does not protect the players from cheapshots against certain teams.

- Aetherial

That's why Kadri is gonna get so many games suspension. 2-3 for his crosscheck, 2 for Debrusk's blatant and obvious knee, and 1 for Pasternak's charging hit to Muzzin's head.

OK so who goes to pay for Marner's contract.

Gardiner won't be re-signed. I think that is a foregone conclusion.

If they can get rid of the Marleau contract, they will.

The question really is Kadri or Nylander. You have to think one of them will go. I am guessing Kadri.

As much as the suspension bullpoop sucks, I could see where he would have value, especially at his contract. Nylander is probably here to stay.

*fans say it doesn’t count because they are too skilled to count*

- Santo_44

Wut?

I could be wrong here, but I feel that when people talk about physicality yourself, Burn and Roger think we're pleading for Clune or Broll to be playing.

Crosby and Malkin are far far far more physical than any Leafs forward. Also helps that they are their best players but it doesn't matter too much.

Not enough about this is being said.

They just lost a top 4 D and a bottom pairing D.

All the media is crying that the Leafs lost an important piece but so did the Bruins.

There is a good point in there.

It wasn't just the physicality, it was the intensity the Bruins brought to the game. Leafs were nowhere near matching it, except Kadri, who made the idiot play, again.

- Aetherial

I also think people have a hard on for big hits (physicality) vs finishing your checks (intensity). Moore isn't overly physical. But he plays with tenacity. Hyman too. They work hard. Always.
In game one, Hyman, Johnsson, and Moore led the team with 4 hits each. The only one that was memorable was Moore taking down Chara

They didn't play that physical to me in game one. They played like they cave a poop.

Omg man.. while you were too busy saying I was poopting out my mouth or whatever, if you would have just read the paragraph I explained how leaders on those teams mix it up. They lead by example.

I know you’re counting on air support from the outrage brigade, but you look like an idiot defending Nylander.

They are no more physical than Matthews/Kadri.

Don’t try and pretend they are.

Nylander doesn’t have to be a leader for this team....

Guentzel was huge for the Pens. He’s not a leader and he doesn’t have to be.

Just the fact that you won’t say what it is, tells me it’s bullpoop. Either way, idgaf. Wendel Clark was a (frank)ing bumhole outside the rink and he’s the all-time fav.

Series is far from over, Hopefully tomorrow is much better. I think it will be after being completely outplayed last night, third line of Marleau Nylander Brown doesn’t give me much confidence though, Matthews needs to have a big game if Leafs want to take control of this series.

hen posters argued we should get that type of player, we were greeted with “we don’t need another Orr/Mclaren/fridge” in a pathetic attempt to gaslight a real concern

Malkin, maybe. Crosby? No. He's not a creampuff like Nylander, but he's not physical.

Bloody hell if its not the all season long female doging its the damn trolls.

Kadri was stupid. He is being suspended. Period. End of story. Moving on.

Refs sucked. They have sucked all year. Still have to play the game. End of story. Moving on.

Boston just lost another d man and DeBrusk may be concussed. Karma is a female dog.

Everyone knew this would be a long tough grinding battle with crap officiating and lots of bs. Buckle up settle down and in the words of Ken Watanabe... Let them fight!

Leafs did what they needed to. Take one in Boston. Now we come back to Toronto. Lets hope they make adjustments and fet it done.

I feel for Mike. He understands what it takes to be successful and has asked for MMMMOOOAOAAAARRRR GRIT all season, but his bosses refuse to give him the tools.

You do know the series is still tied 1-1 right? We didn't exactly get swept.
If the Leafs win and maybe even beat Columbus, will you eat HOHOs hat?
I'm not saying that's how it'll play out, but why don't we wait to see a verdict before you puke up your "I told you so" 's
