Whats the Flyersbuzz approved reason to complain about this hiring? - opeth_pa
I’m sure it was an intensive, thorough, and methodical search just like the GM hire was. That’s all |

That's true. I just know Giroux would never purposely deflect a puck with his face for the sake of the team. |

Rangers fans should kiss his feet, that team they had never should have sniffed a cup final. |

Excellent hire. Very happy with the choice. - MJL
After years of having no head coach with a NHL resume I have absolutely zero issue with it. Good hire. |

I like this hire. Experience, credibility has had great success. Now just change 5-6 players and we might have something here |

This matters why?
Then again this bastion of Flyers knowledge with his 39 year fandom couldn't spell Gordon right... lulz
"And with that announcement I terminate my 39 year relationship as a Flyers fan, he is awful with young players, should have stuck with Hextall as GM, and Gorton as coach, this is going to blow up in their faces......." |

I would have preferred q but I like this hire. Met him once seemed like a decent guy. Never been part of this org either. |

First thing that will happen is a petition sent to the league to allow them to rework raffle extension to a 5 year deal
We’ll be seeing tanner glass in this summer on a Tryout also |

Can an old coach learn new tricks?
Hopefully AV has learned how to better manage young players |

We are not really discussing whether Giroux is better then Stamkos are we? I'm sorry, I can put the orange and black glasses on as much as the next guy, but its not even close. Well it is kinda close if you look at it like, Stamkos is just a little bit better at everything, which makes it not close.... He really isn't a lot better at anything, except goal scoring, but add it all up....
Giroux has a .93 points per game. Stamkos has 1.03. Over an 82 game season thats an average of 10 more points a year. And as many people pointed out, this is with him not always being the focal point of the team. - youarewrong
I never said Giroux is better than Stamkos, speaking for myself. I do believe G is in this class. |

Yeah. That's bad. I agree with him on the hextall front! I'm the end it sounded like it was more that the owners didn't like him nor the fact that the building wasn't sold out. Just glad fletch hasn't gone wild trading picks and youth.

I watched a ton of Rangers games when he was the coach.
A few observations. Team played hard almost every night for the guy.
He's very veteran reliant. If a young player makes a mistake he's pretty quick to put them in the doghouse. Solution to that issue is get good veteran players.
No more of this BS with guys like Knight, Varone, Bailey etc on the 4th line. |
