I will say that stammer is about to lead his reg season record setting team to a first round sweep. Ouch! And I like him as a player. Still shocked at what's happened to them

That guy just really wanted the Flyers to keep Gorton as the coach.

I don't dislike the hire. If a qualification that Fletcher wanted was a coach with success and experience, AV is second to Quenneville. He's got eight 100 point seasons and two SCF appearances. I hope he can adapt and handle young players better. If Fletcher gives him a good roster, no reason why he can't have the Flyers in the playoffs right away.

We're so woke that people in Manitoba are offended by the jets white out rallies in the playoffs. Ugh

I don't dislike it either. The business with young players gives me pause, but perhaps he's learned from his mistakes. I just want the team to play more consistently and get back to being a perennial contender.

Nobody says this ever, where. They might say “nice save” which makes more sense but nobody ever says “nice walk back”...ever.

LOL wow. However, with the change to the dark jerseys for home games, it does look like they are supporting the away team.

It works well in Calgary however.

Willing to give Vigneault a chance. Fletcher must have liked him enough to not want to miss out on him if better options came available after the playoffs. Glad we have a real head coach with experience now.

Well, teams under him, at least at the beginning very rarely take a night off. So if we see slow starts, and consistently falling behind 2-0 then it's a core issue.

Yeah. Just seems over the top to me. Canada has gone a little nuts with enabling the sj warriors

I think we already know that it is. This move needs to be coupled with a smart trade or two or perhaps ufa signings.

How do you rank Stamkos, Pavelski and Giroux?

All C/W hybrids and captains.

Um, no, he is not.
- MBFlyerfan

Umm...Yes, Nolan Patrick is being groomed to be the next guy after is Giroux gone. Why wouldn’t he be? Patrick is a former second overall pick, who could have potentially went number one and went on to make the team out of camp.

Am I way off base here?
