Yeah the royals not making it especially. Ton of prospects coming from there. Complete failure of a franchise. |

The only thing you get out of ECHL teams are goalies who actually are in development...
A certain goaltender who has 2 recent Cup rings played there when the Kings were the affiliate
Doesnt help that the franchise got passed around from the arena authority to a local businessman building a hotel across the street and wanted the anchor tenant to stay... the same guy who ended up buying an ECHL team in Texas too and really had the wrong people in place Reading... then they sell the franchise back to a local authority. Of course Ronnie H didnt help them at all
It is only there for players to get called up the the Phantoms when they have injuries or have callups to the Flyers..and to have local affordable entertainment and fill nights at the arena...It is NOT for development in the truest sense. Look at their special nights and giveaways and special guests that are family/child oriented. |

The pens window has closed shut while ours is a sliding door to green pasture - Just5
Their depth on both sides of the puck is stretched...
They will flip Kessel and Malkin and reload

Pitt has no 2nd next 2 drafts and no 3rd or 6th this season
In the bright side, 5 more year of jack johnson and plenty of cap space |

Watching the Islanders team d just swallow Crosby alive, while he does anything he wants against the Flyers is a joke.

Ok , so even though he was a Flyers draftee and played 15 games here, he has been gone for 27 years.......Does that eliminate the "recycled Flyer" comments. Still not sure I want another guy from that college conference, he was at Nort Dakota as an assistant before Hakstol...and 18 years at UMD...

Any interest in Thornton on a 1 year deal? He's a guy that fits on either 3 lines, doesnt block NoPa, a good Leadership guy and good influence on the younger players.
Unless SJ wins the cup I dont see him retiring yet. If SJ chooses not to extend him he could be available. |

I think he'll come back to SJ. If they don't bring him back I think he might just call it a day.
In theory he would be a fine addition. But I think he'd be looking at contenders and next year I don't see that being us. |

You don't want anyone from that conference? How about no one from college, period.
This franchise hasn't had a coach with a NHL track record since Lavi and surprise surprise they've had next to no playoff success in that time. |
