If he asked for 6.5 as you stated before as the high end I’d pack his bags myself. 5.5 and I’d try to trade him. TK is a great complimentary player but that money I bananas for an RFA. Nylander's deal is dumb dumb dumb and only happened because the kids dad was somebody and he refused to play.

Yeah you might want to check around the league for other 21 year old 25 goal scorers and see what they get. Heck skinner is supposedly asking for 11+. Going rates are going up. You expect him at 21 to be the best he will ever be ? Kids going to get better. 6.5 is likely a steal

I think if we can sign TK for "around" $6mil, Sanheim around $6, and Provy for around $8 we win those deals. Of course it would be nice to get them on long term deals but I think Provy settles for bridge after down year.

Jets are due for a shake up regardless of playoff result. Cap is tight and they need to make tough decisions. Myers is UFA. A few RFAs as well. Hoping to see them get bounced so we can start to see their plan. Trouba?

i guess they could give TK 8 years but i dont see an issue with a 4 or 5 year deal. gives him time to prove himself further and provides some flexibility.

I'd love if we could get some of these kids to settle for a bridge deal or short term but I think they all want long term. I wouldn't mind TK, Sanheim, and Provy as part of our upcoming core for 8+ years...

I'd love to see him pull 6 x 6 for Provy but he is our best dman. After this past season, I hope his asking price comes down. He is definitely not in the Doughty, Subban, etc. class. Based on what I've seen of him, I'd be okay with $7-$8mil for 8 years. Should prove to be a bargain. I'm thinking, if anything, he goes with a bridge deal to get a bigger payday in 2-3 years.
