Wiz,
I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying that what you stated regarding Kappo Is exactly what happens! I just hope Stan doesn’t screw it up if this kid falls right into his lap.

The Rangers just signed the Russian (Kravtsov) they took in the 1st round last year as well as another Russian draft pick and both of them are coming over the N.A. Maybe that helps with convincing Podkolzin to come over, and maybe Stan can sweeten the deal a bit to swap picks with the Rangers.

Still dreaming.

Ok saying hughes and kappo go 1 and 2 it comes down to three players for me cozens turcotte and pod? If the Russian is confirmed and will come over according wiz hawks should pick but thats a big if so i m picking a center which the hawks lacking center depth in the system so cozens or turcotte so a 2 way center with speed toews like player or anothet center with speed larkin type player so to me cozens is my pick but if they pick turcotte its a win also. Wiz is there any sleepers in the first round that could move up from now until the draft day?

I can't wait to see your reaction when Stan takes Cole Caulfield.

Better still Stan shpuld trade all of his draft picks for Nathan MacKinnon. Best forward available. No more thinking about who to pick.

Rags need d-men. Its not outside the realms of possibilities they take Byram. Leaving Kakko for the Hawks.

Seriously. These people need to get easier names to remember.

Being tied isn't the worst. Weak call ends up in the net every time

And there is the make-up call

Not needed. Now that is how you respond

His intentions are he’s already signed through 2020/21, so the soonest we’d se him would be the 2021/22 season.

But what if whoever we draft takes 1 or 2 years to develop in the minors?

He would still be behind the curve a bit. He is still going to need to adjust to NA ice surface. Cultural differences. Language barrier. isolation. With the possibility of be overcome with being homesick.

I’m hoping the Rangers take Byram and Kakko drops into our lap.

Panarin also was older. Wanted to come to the NHL. There are some indications Podkolzin doesn't even want to play in NA.

Every person is different. Can't apply what happened with one player to another. The risk is too great at 3. Plus, its not like he is the clear cut 3rd best player in the draft.
