I am so disgusted with this series right now. Refs did not keep it under control, and then things got out of hand. Its the officials job to keep order in a game. It wasn't "Playaff Hackey". It was the refs, letting a game get out of hand, not calling anything, so Boston ran around with complete reckless abandon and then Kadri had to police the game himself. Boston is going to win this series and it is because the referees let this series go that way instead of calling it fairly. I wish the playoffs were called like the regular season. I know I am in the minority on that, but this idea of the rules changing as soon as the playoffs start is asinine. The only reason they do this is because American viewers will not watch unless it is a blood bath. There is nothing wrong with physicality, there is something wrong with what went on Saturday night.

Nah I'm literally asking who the sandpaper guys are, you traded twonaway and kadri is out. Muzzin seems like that kind of player but who else it like that?

There is really no one on the Leafs team that really can.

I'm not sure how many fights the Leafs had this maybe 3 and one of the players was traded earlier this year.

- zazzle

Boston is a big strong team and the leafs are a fast skilled team. Seems like that's the match up this year so far, Tampa vs Columbus, isles vs Pitt all are skill vs a team that has to grind and work more to win.

Hyman. That's it. That's the issue we're facing.

Realistically what does that do for you, other than for us fans to sit there and think, "Hey, that's how *I* feel, too!".

Babcock needs to maintain a working relationship with the officials, and he also needs to impart on his young team that they are not going to get anywhere blaming the officials. Take responsibility for what you can control and control it. Good teams persevere or find ways to take inspiration from that adversity. It's not just a "catch phrase". It's said because it's true and it's a message that bears repeating over and over and over again.

Just like first round exits apparently. The high road doesn't win in the playoffs. Getting dirty in the bunker does.

Hyman fighting DeBrusk will just give the Bruins momentum because of the level of ass kicking. The answer is: nobody.

Oh for sure nobody. But Hyman can handle DeBrusk (or at least not get pasted). We're in over our heads as per

Not necessarily... sometimes losing a fight is just as big as winning one. Hyman does that, stands up for the guys maybe, just maybe it sparks the rest. Maybe it wakes up some others who suddenly go ya know what fack it I'm drawin a line here. Wouldn't be the first time a team rallied around a guy who did that.

In my opinion the Leafs don't win this series by playing it Boston's way. Boston won't win this series by playing it Toronto's way.

The Leafs are fast, skilled, and score off the rush. They play a pressure defense that is intended to close gaps, (why this leaves the side-wall open all f'n game, I don't know!), and then quick transition to the rush.

The Bruins will cycle, clog, and hit.

The two styles are quite different.

We win if we stay out of the box because Boston's PP is lethal and our PK has Hainsey on it, and if we continue to play with speed.

They dont even need to fight just finish their checks every chance they get. Boston loves to try and push teams around they kill the isles every time with that style too.

THIS!!!

It really reminds me of early 80's Isles vs Oilers. The hard hitting grinding Isles pounded the crap outta the Oil, Oil had to learn to use their skill and speed more, battle through and outwork the Isles. One year the Isles had their number, the following the Oil figured it out, played their game and won.

Except he went for the head, and he has a past history of head shots.

Pretty franking dirty. Not even a knee jerk reaction to something, he skated up to him and targeted the head. They're gonna throw the book at him. Guy needs to learn to control himself better, this is ridiculous.

I think the Leafs are too scared to play their own game in the face of above average physicality.

Or maybe his face gets broken and he's lost for the series too. You think old man DeBrusk maybe showed Jake a couple moves?

For Boston it can, that's their game, and they are built for it and good at it - although the series is tied 1-1. Hopefully it works out for the Jets, but so far it's not working out trailing in the series.

Hard-nosed hockey is beating finesse hockey in TB.

Hard work is beating average work in Pittsburgh.

If there was a consistent way to do it, you wouldn't have a variety of approaches.

But at the end of the day, no matter which style the team brings, the team that is willing to work hard and work through it will win. That was the point I was trying to get at.

Debrusk is a big kid haven't seen him fight, Bruins have chara too that man can seriously lay a beating when angry. I think most of the time he just holds guys cause he can paste them with his reach and just doesn't

Can't have it both ways, fighting is always a risk, but can't suck and blow at the same time. Stand up or don't. Pick one
