They've got to be tough on Marleau. He is the issue. It's not NYlander's contract like so many claim. We are paying a 40 year-old 4th line winger 6.3 million next season.

Of course you could, but you'd have to send an asset along with that contract to rent out a team's cap space. They don't do it for free 'just' to reach the cap floor.

Marner should get more money than Glassthews, he actually shows up in the playoffs.

They can move other players and won't excite non-Leaf fans but can happen like Zaitsev or trying the Orpik Washington move from last summer with Marleau. Connor Brown can go and you can save 1.75 million.
