I say this with quite literally all due respect:

Enough for today.
I like you guys when you're at the top of the roller coaster of emotions.
Not so much when you're all crying like someone won't give you what you feel you've earned.
See you tomorrow fair weather fans!

A buddy of mine once put their winter boots on not realizing that a mouse had climbed in. The mouse did not survive having their weight down on it...

I'd accept this outcome as well.

One can only hope.
- Scabeh

It's not just a hope. Bergeron is really what the offense is built around. He's 33 years old. Marchand isn't far behind. Generally by the time players hit his age, they've already declined quite a bit. He's had a good year, but the odds on him playing at this level, even just next year, are not good.

And Chara is on his last legs. He's VERY slow these days, and will become a liability soon enough.

Take those 2 out, and look at the roster. It really isn't overly good.

I'd also be curious to see what MArchand and Pastrnak look like without Bergeron.

We saw that for extended periods this season and they did just fine.

Looks like player 25 is butt ending Chara in the face.
Still frames tell the entire story right?

I would say this one tells us plenty, actually. Everything I need to know, in fact.

Marchand still put up 100 points and played for good stretches without Bergeron or Pastrnak.

Boston's issue is that their top two centres (Bergy, Krejci are in their 30's)

He just signed next year for $2 milly, with an additional $1.75 milly in incentives (I'm going to go ahead and assume he earns it all).

You telling me you wouldn't take Chara next year at $3.75M?

All day long.

And he shows up early.

He was at the rink hours before the game eating hot dogs with The Kessel. Just eyeing the ice, envisioning what was to come later on that evening....

and rubbing The Kessel's little buddha belly for good luck.

- Fakepartofme

buston glassthews is just biding his time so he can sign that big ufa contract back in glendale

Avoiding injury by not engaging physically same with greedy willi

should’ve traded both of those creampuffs along with garbagener for a couple of real dmen and a backup who don’t want to play house and some top 6 heavy forwards

little mitchy obviously wants to play at home and will take a hometown discount to return the center of the hockey universe to it’s former glory

give little mitchy the c

then surround him with heavy top 6 forwards and real dmen and a backup who don’t want to play house then sit back and watch the cups roll in

With shrewd management they can turn it around and have 2 number ones in 3 or 4 years once Krejci and Bergeron get too slow to play.

I like Bruins fans when they're crying about not being able to goon it up. They're a crap team when they can't. First round fodder.
