I hope the Flyers players were watching this series. This could have been them catching Tampa with their pants down.

Getting out of this rut is gonna require this organization to make some hard choices. Developing young talent is great but you need the right coaches, hey at least they brought in a guy with a good track record. I probably would’ve went with a sutter or just kept gordon. They really need to think hard about who they make the face of the franchise because yea, leadership matters and so does your team’s culture. Right now ours is dog-poop. Soft and stinky.
- JoeRussomanno

I find hard to reconcile making the statement that they need the right coaches and then suggest that they keep Gordon.

So what does he need to at least win a round in the playoffs? The ‘84 oilers?

A better team.

It was rhetorical. I have no need for you to answer it. I answered it for you.

I'm really happy for Bob. Getting screwed over by the Flyers was the best thing that happened to him. He would've been wasted in Philly, not that anyone cares about past Flyers mistakes.

I wonder what the space cadet they replaced him with on a 9 year contract is doing these days.

You're continuing to make ridiculous post after ridiculous post. You state he's not a franchise player. He has scored 187 points in the last 164 games he has played. He's something like in the top 5 in points in the NHL in the last decade. He currently sits 2nd all time in the Flyers franchise in assists. He's currently 4th all time in the franchise in points and is likely going to finish 2nd when all is said and done. To say he isn't a franchise player is simply absurd.
- MJL

Agreed....at his current pace he’ll probably be around second all-time in franchise points and Clarke’s mark might be in reach too if he can stay healthy.

It just seemed like Tampa didn’t want to get the puck up the ice through more stretch passes or dump ins. Columbus was right on top of their short touch passing game all series. It was fascinating

The only sports team I can remember being as gutless as this TB Lightning team was the 2004 Yankees

Don’t know how much of it is guts. That was a worrisome display of coaching from cooper. He had no answers. I don’t even think he tried anything. Talk about sinking with the ship

You wouldn't want a 2 time vezina winning goalie on your team during his prime years?

The HOF goalies who have manned the Flyers crease the last 8 years must've spoiled you.
