Signing bonuses offset them anyways. Detroit has a lot of $. Tavares is getting sick money is signing bonuses and endorsements.

Taxes play a small part, indeed. But a part none the less. Detroit has ample opportunities for enticing players to sign/resign there. Yzerman needs to use his magic to continue fleecing people on trades too.

The US was up 11-5 with less than 4 minutes left in the game and they got their #1 power play unit on the ice and score.

That's just mean and unnecessary.
