No. The Bruins already have a rat and he's better.

I would take Kadri in a second.
He is a very effective 2nd or 3rd center depending on your team. He can skate, he plays with grit and he has good skills.

Does he make airheaded decisions...sometimes. But somehow he get's called out for things that other players have done. I think at least some of the perceived issues with him are the market. Much like Kane, once he was happy in his environment, he was no longer a story other than for his production/on ice contribution.

Absolutely. Kadri is great. Occasionally does some stupid stuff but a really good hockey player.

Yes, I'm sure a GM like Lou Lamoriello could straighten him out

Not a chance. I would go all in on an offer sheet for Marner though

The best place for Kadri to go is a club with some strong veteran leadership on the roster (e.g. PIT, SJS, CHI, BOS, etc.). A club where the culture is established and he would be required to adapt to it. That might help guide his better instincts and keep him from hurting himself and his team.

I was encouraged by his remarks yesterday, he seemed more apologetic and contrite in his description of the play leading to his suspension than in past occurrences. Perhaps he’s finally getting it?

If the Jets were to get Kadri, I'd immediately go get a jersey with his name on it.

I don't want Kadri traded unless it's because Dubas needs the cap space to make something else happen.

Kadri has boned the Leafs the last two playoffs, but saying "we need to get rid of him because we aren't good enough to win without him in the lineup" seems like pretty backwards thinking.

The risk here is that next year when he hits one of the Bruins in the head in round 1, his trade value will be close to zero.

This isn't your typical "hurr durr ur guna lose Marner" post, but...don't you kinda need the cap space?

Leafs are projected to have around $5.2M in space next year, figure that'll be $7M-$8M with whatever the cap rises to. Marner is going to eat up all of that alone, and then there's still other guys that need deals.

Shedding his $4.5M cap hit would go a long way.

Ugh, So many articles trying to make him look like a predator of some kind. He's not. He plays with his emotions, he was put on the ice with a guy who was playing a rough game during a period of heightened emotions (the playoffs). I am not sure how you replace a potential 30 goal scoring #3 center for less than 4.5M
I'd be more worried about replacing Gardiner and Hainsey.

Seems like a good topic, would you prefer to discuss how overrated Babcock is, or how dumb Dubas is, or how about how the Leafs choke year after year.

But one of the favourites out there is how great the Islanders are after Tavares tried to screw them over, obviously Tavares was the problem.

He brings 'sandpaper' but also seems to get suspended at the wrong times.
Having grit is in short supply these days as the league has gone away form true enforcers. Ask TBL if they would like more girt on their team.

If I were the CBJ GM I would pass. Columbus needs more skill, and while he brings some, his big asset is being tough to play against.

Getting suspended twice in the past two playoff series for extended games isn't helping his case. His team values his sandpaper/tough play/grit, but he takes it too far and then isn't on the ice at key times.

No for me if I'm Jarmo.
