Mark my words:
Leafs Nation is going to miss Gardiner when he is gone.
I see the Leafs taking a step back next year.
You think our defence was scary this year?
Winter is coming. - Atomic Wedgie
The year after Kaberle left everyone was like, “who’s Kaberle? Never heard of him.”
I suspect it’ll be the same for Gardiner. Aki berg couldn’t skate backwards, McCabe got rag-dolled by Chara, and Gards sets up a bakery in his own zone in game 7’s. That’ll be his legacy. |

might as well bring back Hartikainen if we're filling in 4th line spots with KHL'ers.[/img] |

But purgatory’s own Nikita Soshnikov is training with the Marlies, prepping for the worlds.. Maybe he’s looking to join the blue and white again? |

When Dubas selects a future Hall of Famer in the 4th round this upcoming draft, it will be because of Soshnikov.
Unless Dubas turns that 4th rounder into a 5th and a 6th! |

He should try to acquire every single 7th round pick.
Just 31 straight selections in the 7th round.
It should work. |

That would not have worked.. Fox only wanted to play for the "Raggits" |

This is the worst playoffs in a long time.
I guess I’m rooting for SJ. It’s like the hockey gods opened up a pathway for Jumbo Joe to go out on top, raising Lord Stanley’s mug.
Ive seen the future, Columbus wins. Panarin has a horseshoe up his ass. |

Burke figures Matthews and soon Marner want 5 year deals because the taxation situation is way worse than people in Canada realize. He also said in his experience when dealing with players lists of teams they don't want to be traded to all 7 Canadian teams are always on the list because of the high taxes. Said JT is the only major superstar to sign in Canada leaving an American team in at least 5 years while it happens the other way around all the time. Figures they bolt when they UFA.
I'm not saying any of this is 100%, I'm sure there is some truth to it. But if true, that means not only does the cap hurt teams like the Leafs in that they pay to keep garbage losing money teams like Phoenix afloat, but they also can't pay enough to offset the tax difference, and players want to leave or get paid so much that the club has a hard augmenting with more talent around them. |

Bruins Blues. Blues in 6. Pretty much their entire roster is Canadians. |
