Hains: 2018-2019 Upper Deck SPx Review

Once known as the poor cousin of Upper Deck's SP Authentic, SPx has now upped its game and packs a punch in a box containing 4 cards.

I never like when they make these kinds of cards. Too similar to what they made for McDs in the early 2000s.

I like SP Game Used way better... I've been buying up SPGU like water for the last several months. I make it a habit to check ebay twice a day for SPGU base cards, because sometimes you can get some profoundly rare cards for really cheap with "buy it now".... I mean I just bought a Messier 2/11 for 12.99, and I got a Bobby Hull 7/9 for 14.99... I think I have around 500 base cards from various years now - mostly stars and rookies.

Remember, SPGU base cards are limited to a players jersey number - and IMO that is why I love SPGU - that premise is really cool... With SPGU the base cards are generally the rarest cards, while the relics, jerseys and auto's are far more common and IMO that goes over collectors heads sometimes which really creates an opportunity for other collectors to buy some profoundly rare cards for cheap..

I have nothing against SPx tho, I just really enjoy SPGU...

I still have this card, in both regular and giant sizes

Worth at least 2.00$, maybe 3.00$ if I can find the right collector.
