Not sure why on Earth Florida with the league's best power play would want to talk to Hiller - who took a talented team into the Twighlight Zone as far as the PP was concerned.

Edit: The Leafs should be on the phone with Paul McFarland who was let go when Florida brought in Quenneville. McFarland had a relatively low talent bunch and Keith Yandel had 39 power play points to Rielly's 21 - shameful really.

whatever fixes not having a too many men penalty every damn game because the bench doesn't function or do line changes well will be a blessing right there.

And the PP definitely needs to be fixed. With the talent we have it should at least be remotely potent not looking like we need to spike all the water bottles with viagra for them to have a chance to score!

I like the idea of AM34 on the other side on the PP. Or in the slot. What goalie wants AM collecting pucks and firing in the slot, no goalies that's who. Then let Marner just freewheel around wherever he wants on the PP.

I doubt the Leafs are the worst. More Toronto hyperbole. But teams that line match will always take some bench minors.

It feels like the Leafs gave up more goals than all teams in NHL history combined.

It's amazing how once teams made the adjustments the PP was done. Months went by with zero progress.

It's also telling that the Leafs fell from 12th ton 20th in goals against. They added talent yet slipped even more defensively. Sad really.

And that happened despite having a better shot on goal differential. Analytics failed in this case.

Dropped from 8th to 14th in PP goals. 10th to 17th on the PK. Is it all on the coaching? Did they just forget what they were doing? Or is it having less defensive minded players? Is it both?
