Anthony Travalgia: Ugly effort in Game 2 puts Hurricanes in familiar position For the second time in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Carolina Hurricanes will return home for Game 3, trailing 2-0 in a series.

Bruins in 3, disappointed by the effort of the Canes. Special teams are a joke

The Canes looked terrible the whole game. A lot of time spent throwing the body, but that just doesn't seem to work against the Bruins. They are a tough opponent and seem to absorb the hits well. The real problem was a lack of crisp passing - too many were behind or too far ahead of the forwards. Plus, too many turnovers. Hopefully they will clean things up at home and refocus.
BINGO!

Canes powerplay has been a joke all season long.

From period 3 of the first game and all of GM 2, that was a poop show. I gotta disagree with coach Rod on not pulling Petr. He hasn't made the saves when needed and is being severely outplayed by Tuuka. I'd put C McE in GM 3 and for a shot of energy and to put Petr on attention.

Game 3 better see a better, disciplined hustling team, or lights out.

That last game was one of the worst I've seen. Sure, everyone loves upsets, but eventually luck runs out and talent takes over. Maybe the Canes get a home win, but I doubt it. Boston just better hope SJ finishes off the Blues too, otherwise they may be waiting a week or so before the Finals start.
