My choice is Troy Mann. #2 is Nate Leaman.

I am somewhat mystified. There has not been much summer talk from the supporters of Team Choke. Over the past few years they had started planning next year's Stanley Cup Parade. Speculation included a strong confidence from fans that anticipated considerable team improvements in.

I think this year's loss has stung a bit more deeply than first thought.

So the leafs go out and hire a top coach, for top dollar (which doesn't count against the cap, so why not pay top dollar to get what yiu want???), and you somehow criticize that, while your team (if anyone other than your GM actually thinks they ARE "a team"), goes through a different coach almost yearly, sometimes having several head coaches on the payroll at one time, because they keep getting fired and replaced halfway through their contract?

I cant speak for others, but the season is over for me. I know in your neck of the woods, "team" joke's best times are the summer, when you get to pick in the top 5 of the draft, a new player that you can develop for a better organization. Oh wait. They went for a more efficient route thisbyear and just gave away the pick before the draft. Why soend all those years developing them when yiu can just cough them up begore theyre drafted???

I still check in from time to time, i enjoy the draft. But there are better things to do in tge summer in this city.

Hahaha, I love how having to pay a guy 2-3 times more than anyone else in the league is “paying top dollar”. Sounds more like the only way he’d go to Toronto is if he was massively overpaid.

If your organization is so great, why do you consistently have to overpay people to play/coach there?

I totally believe that a player who isn’t a top 10 player in the league was getting offers to make him the highest paid. It seems TOTALLY legit, and in no way an attempt to appease leaf fans so they didn’t notice the massive cap disaster their GM had just created.
