the rangers...the team always wondering if they are rebuilding or going for it, but cant resist a name player to sell tickets and messing up their plans. Again.

And while many will point to his defensive play, it doesn't compensate for that. Malkin is not just better, it's a wide margin.
- prock

Agreed and if I'm the Pens I don't want Kopitar from the Kings. He's in his 30's and under contract for 6 more years at a $10M cap hit. I'd be looking to get younger and cheaper at the 2C position.

Sean Mohahan is a good example of younger and cheaper and also potential to take over at 1C in the future.

I’m fine with that. Kings don’t need to be getting a 33 year old player that gets hurt constantly. Lol

Not sure yet. Maybe a bad contract as in Stone and one of the stud defence prospects to get this done.

Malkin 1.17 pts/game vs. Kopitar .86 pts/game

Malkin 852 GP/ 391 G/611 A/ 1002 Points
Kopitar 1003 GP/ 312 G/ 576 A/ 888 Points

Malkin 12 seasons of 1+ pts per game
Kopitar 1 season of 1+ pts per game

Malkin IS the superior player. The stats don't lie folks!

- Crushers68

wonder how the stats would change if Kopitar on same team as Crosby for those 12 years

Not by much. Malkin spent a lot of time with Hornqvist and Hagelin. Kessel is better sure. But Kopitar has had a good chunk of time with Toffoli too.
- Feds91Stammer

Toffoli is a moron. Slow ass. That guy should score 30 yearly and he can’t figure it out

This actually makes sense.

CGY window is now and well Malkin>Monahan

I’ll always revert to the kings trade with PHI
Simmonds and schenn for Richards. Hard pill to swallow at first but in the end Kings won cups with Richards

Makes sense for both teams. Pens get a strong #2 center in Mohny who can learn how to be a #1 under the guidance of Sid. Also Mohny is a great trigger man on the power play. The Flames get a winner that knows how to play the game and win in the playoffs. They need to add some size and grit. They also understand that they are stuck with Neals contract. Malkin should be able to get Neals game pointed in the right direction.

Monahan had a 34 goal and 82 point season last year, he's a #1 C and doesn't need any guidance...
