I want thoughts. This is semi-left field. This is botterill’s career on the line.

Kreuger better pan out.

That said I don't think he is a bad coach so perhaps he can get something going in Buffalo. Just surprised of all the names and options, THIS is who they settled on.

He must have a blackmail photo of Kim😕. Not in my top 3 candidate list....or top 5. Vanek and Ek both like it, which further summons bad feelings.

He got more out of the Oilers(I know, I know) than anyone in 10 years. That's gotta be worth something. At least more than Jacques Martin or Dave Tippett.

Hope Jack gave the thumbs up on the hire. If not he could go all Aria Stark on poor Ralph.

Been rebuilding for almost ten years, trying to be Pitt or Chicago and we are closer to Florida.

Eichel- Barkov
Reinhart- huberdeau
Skinner-Hoffman
Mitts-trochek
Dahlin- ekblad
Risto- yandle

Argue what player is better where but those guys are all similar. essentially we are them. Depressing.

Florida is closer/better with a proven Stanley cup winning coach and GM. Sabres aren’t even in the same conversation.

Krueger was someone that the fans liked in Edmonton, albeit for a short period of time. IIRC, he had great scoring results for the younger players we had at the time. He wasn't given a fair shake imo. Hope he works out for you!

I don't think hiring Krueger is a bad hire. He does have some experience. But to label that experience "documented success" is just nonsense. He coached Switzerland at the Olympics and finished 6th, 8th and 11th. He had a losing record with Edmonton. He joined Southampton FC and saw the club continually in a battle to avoid relegation.

That's just plain false. They had 2 good seasons. They're not supposed to be good. It's a miracle they weren't relegated. Those teams don't stay in the top bracket for long. They're nothing more than a feeder team for the top teams.
