Close, there is an "l" in that spelling.

But he's still holden on to his pick (or his scythe).

Hahahaha! I need to reread that book. I absolutely hated it the first time. He was a creepy person. I like his short stories a lot though.

To keep it hockey related, who is your third overall pick?

Karlsson looks like he has his wheels back from the groin injury. Dominating the Blues so far.

He may not be that good in his own end but he makes plays in the ozone and at center ice that keeps puck possession and the puck out of the sharks zone.

From what I've seen of these goalies tonight, Rask will out play either of them, by a bunch. Unfortunately, Boston is probably going to win The Cup. Much to my immense displeasure.

Wouldn't it be something to see Backes and his Bruins play his former team in the Blues in the Stanley Cup Finals. Talk about a story line Bettman can drool about. Personally speaking I hate both of those teams. But as much I hate to say it I would rather see the Blues win. 🤮🤮🤮

This scenario, I agree. Can't stand either of them. But i despise the Bruins more. Really wish #63 would have all his bad karma finally catch up to him.

It would be perfect to see him and Backes both get what has been coming to them for awhile now. I still love that hit Seabs put on wakey wakey Backes.

I've been watching some of the USA games over the past few days and I have to say Kane has brought his half-ass defensive effort to Slovakia. He's been terrible. He often looks nonchalant so it's not necessarily that - but just a half heart effort unless he has the puck in the o-zone. He just had one of those plays that led to GBR scoring their second goal - he took a one-hand on stick swipe at the puck which actually pushed the puck into the slot were Perlini's brother took it and buried it. And he's wearing the "C" for USA. Very disappointing.

On the other hand DeBrincat looks great. He scored another goal today (4 goals in 4 games) and he's hustling all over the ice.

Who cares about his D in a tourney that does not involve the Hawks...he is leading USA in points.

Whole playoffs stink. You have an old slow Sharks led by Thorton who looks like he is 60 years old, will lose to this hateful Blues team and Carolina choking to the hateful Bruins.

Did you watch any of the first two rounds?

Except for Boston - Carolina, this has been an exciting and compelling tournament.

The pick has to be Byram. He reminds me so much of a young Duncan Keith in the way he glides around the ice. He’s touted as a future 1D, and even though the Hawks have drafted several other high prospect dmen over the last two years, none of them project to be a 1D.

As for Turcotte, I saw him and the USDT play in Madison this past January, and I really liked his play. He was in the center of everything, both offensively and defensively, and won a majority of faceoffs. He was also on the top PK unit (second PP unit because of Hughes and Zegras). If the Hawks didn’t acquire Strome, I’d love this to be their pick.

- hawks2010

How do you know none of the hawks kids project to be a #1 dman? You think Keith was identified as a #1 dmam when he was drafted? He was a little poop but worked his ass off to become what he was. I guess its impossible for others to do it too.

Refs missed that one. Sucks that a good game has to end that way.

Obviously I do or I wouldn't have made the post. I'm probably in the minority but I think when a player plays for his country and is named the captain of the team - he should lead by example which means to give a good effort all over the ice all game long.

I've seen the replay of "the hand pass" about a dozen times. i thought it looked like it hit Boumeisters' left shin. He even looked like he tried to sort of kick at it. If it did hit his shin, anyone know what that does to weather or not it still should have been blown dead or not?? Thanks
