If there is a move out there like that where someone has two years left then go for it, but 3 or more is a no go for me. Anything in the next two years with money is pretty much not a big deal, so long as you keep enough available for Panarin

I think EK would be awesome the first 2-3 years of the contract and then completely fall off the last 3-4. Its the only reason I wouldn't do it. I think you are 2 years too late on EK.

I’m not saying it’s not bad, I’m just saying it’s always been this bad. Remember how bad the officiating was when just a skate in the crease negated the goal? Or they had to literally say distinct kicking motion because they were just disallowing anything that even came close to your skate? Yeah, I do.

Besides, those same missed trips teams playing us have gotten away with, were missed trips in the 90s too.

I agree with 2s1p on this one. I think every single play has so many angles, and its all replayed its really not any worse than it used to be, its just caught and magnified. I also think its the league when they tell the refs, make sure you call anything close to the hands to the detriment of real penalties. I mean there are poopty refs, but I really don't think its any worse than before.

Ultimately I wouldn't do it, but I think the value is actually close enough to strongly consider.
If Zegras or Caufield were available at #8, it would really be a tough decision!
