actually it was darcy deciding to go all in on kotalik and connolly, which is why briere left as there was no money for him

briere wanted to stay, darcy was focused on drury

drury shunned us and then darcy let soupy leave and overpay for goose and hecht as a knee jerk reaction

if they kept briere and jp over kotalik and connolly, team would have been much better IMO

then pay soupy and move on from hecht

Not at all. I like the idea of the "change up" tandem of Eichel and ERod - but that's a once every 3 or 4 games idea just to throw the opposition off.

Darcy admitted he had to deal from a COST - CONTROLLED format that other GM's Did not, I'm not saying Darcy didn't make mistakes, but it was Tom's Greed that prevented the team to sign those players. We took Briere to ARB when all he wanted was 5m5yrs!!!

he was as good as any of them back in the day

Briere wanted to be here, they didn't want him. They wanted Drury, he didn't want to be here, then Darcy sat on his hands and let the Oilers burn him.

If they actually committed to your "get rid of Okposo" plan, I'd see the place for Vanek and/or Pommer on a 1 year deal. Do we dare to dream that they'd actually be able to pull an Okposo move off?

Look at San Jose's dressing room. Yikes. No wonder Kane is being a good soldier.

Every former teammate who talks about Grier does so with a sense of reverence. He was some sort of leadership guru
