Yeah... Kaliyev would be my first choice.... sure some seem to question his work ethic but.... come on.... the guy has way too much talent to pass on at #15.
- Scabeh

I do like the draft this year a lot. Very strong first round IMO.

I'm hoping for Bobby Brink (probably a prayer more than reality), Patrick Puistola, or Nils Hoglander.

Maybe Dorofoyev

Maybe. I don't know Kaliyev's personality enough.

Galchenyuk's main issues are in his head, his talent remains undeniable.

🔒 Lindell is locked up! 🔒

The Dallas Stars have signed Esa Lindell to a six-year contract extension with an AAV of $5.8M. #GoStars

That's, a lot for him.

hmm initially that seems high

If anything, Kaliyev reminds me of Kovalev a little.

Oh yeah? Well I hope Vlasic or Foote fall big time all the way down to the Leafs 1st pick at 53.

Actual though, Jamieson Rees is slotted in and around the Leafs pick and I really liked the way he played when I watched him at the Under 18 tournament (I think that's what it was). I think he'd be a good pick.

Such a good player

Nice play. Good player, when he wants to be. If only his effort could be consistent and last longer than a simple burst here or there.

I just like the trombone playing over these highlights.

We joke about this, but it’s true.

He’s really good on the big ice surface, not so good when confronted with body contact and less time to make a play.

+ the Austrian 'dream team' defense doesn't hurt either..

McAvoy for 7 eh?
- AdamFrench

If McAvoy signs for 7, that will be a relative bargain for the Bruins.

I guess the reason they have Marner making that much more than Point is because of the years?

Leafs dont have a 1st round pick this year (drinks blue koolaid) so my initial thought of the draft is its not very deep and lacks high end talent outside of 1-2.
I have nothing to base this on (drinks blue koolaid) other than facts that may have been made up.

We got Sean Durzi with the 52nd pick last year, maybe with the 53rd pick we can draft a defenseman again and immediately trade him to another team for Jake Muzzin 2.0?

Its all good.
We got a dman who played great in the playoffs unlike some other players and now i don't have to watch the draft.
Less time spent on the nhl, the better.

$9.16 for 8 years would be great and Marner gets his vanity number.
