Personally I don't see Lou trading Lehner especially for Bobrovski. There is no guarantee they will get BOB signed whereas I think Lehner can be had for shorter term and money. Now maybe Lehner had a amazing prove it season and will regress back but the Isles have Greiss for 1 more year AND Sorokin in Russia. Even though it has been rumored Sorokin won't come without some Russians with BOB signed I don't think he will want to be stuck behind him for 8 years. Lehner may only ask for 4-5 years.
In addition the Isles need scoring. Spending 8-10M on BOB basically means the Isles will not be signing Lee, Nelson or Eberle. I don't see how that helps their scoring woes. I think Lehner will be resigned, the Isles will try to get Panarin or Duchene and then trade Leddy and possibly someone such as Beauvillier for a top end scorer. |

Yeah, he's that too... but I still say he's better, I'd take Lindell over Gardiner and it's not even close, I'll admit I haven't seen as much of Lindell as I have Gardiner but still, I've made my choice, can't talk me out of it now! |

Gardiner is better than those that hate him and not as good as the purely stat nerd folk put him. Either way I think he is better than Lindell. |

Pretty sure kovi would be recruiting Panarin to LA not to another team. LA should look at Panarin as they need scoring desperately but I doubt he signs with kings - KINGS67
I don't see that because Kovy is going to be gone this next trade deadline or the year of his final contract. Granted it would be awesome if Panarin came to LA as he is young, fast and highly skilled, but until the Kings can dump some of these aging vet core, I don't see him wanting to play for LA. If he did want to play on the west coast then I would bet it would be for SJ or Vegas. But I see him staying in the east. |

Funny you have the islanders in on all these players, yet the islanders GM won't spend money to watch the statue of liberty take a piss in the hudson river? Plus the islanders have a village of free agents of there own. Guess Lou is going to circumvent the cap again? - devfan30
They still have all that snake money sitting around and if Lee, Nelson or Eberle think they’re getting big raises after having “ok” seasons then they can get it somewhere else. |
