that was my point all along..
- Codes1087

I understand that. Hutton is 3rd pairing D & imo won’t get a raise if not less on the open market.

Hughes is immune, he did not play enough games this year to need protection.

Aah i stand corrected thx 👍

if its protecting Edler in expansion or letting him walk, i would help pack his bags and personally drive him to the airport.

If its between getting a draft pick for Hutton or paying him anywhere between 2.8 and 3.5 to anchor the 3rd pairing, Id help him pack his bags and drive him to the airport.

- Codes1087

This is why Vancouver needs ride sharing. You're so busy driving everyone to the airport that we never have time to hang out at Orange Julius anymore.

I’d way rather have Edler for two than fat useless “cry baby” Hutton. How in the (frank) can you prefer Hutton? Edler was our best D last year! Also, if we sign Edler for two without trade protection he could return a first. Hutton gets you a 5th if the stars align
- CanuckDon

The amount that you go on about how "fat" Hutton is makes me think you're compensating for self conciousness

6'2" 206 doesn't seem like overweight for a hockey player to me, unless you're only referring to him being overweight a year ago

Carol called him a cry baby not me. I guess it’s all relative. lefty is 6’2 320, so I suppose Hutton isn’t as fat as some

Clearly, Northy is a tubby little gnome so he is going to stick up for Hutton and his pure butter milkshakes.

Ahhhh this makes sense. Northy always supports Hutton. They must both still have baby fat

I'm one of those people with an overactive metabolism so I've only ever been called too skinny not tubby

A butter milkshake sounds good to be honest

Lucky to have the genes for sure. My dad is in his mid 50s and his is just now slowing down enough that he needs to add extra gym days to stay thin.

In terms of getting exercise, it certainly doesn't help to live in a place where it's winter 8 months out of the year though

Not anymore. Kids these days don’t know how to have fun.

Speaking of fun (flag away Neemer )

Almond crusted goat cheese with heirloom tomato salad, pickled red onion basil oil - Sauvignon Blanc/Sémillon

Beef carpaccio grainy mustard aioli, fried capers, pickled golden beats - premium Chardonnay

Pistachio crusted salmon, cauliflower mash prosciutto wrapped asparagus - Reserve Pinot Noir

Lobster and crab stuffed NY “carpet bagger” gnocchi, carrot, Brussels, pearl onions and Marchand de Vin sauce - Bordeaux blend

Deconstructed cheesecake, peach-lime-mint syrup - late harvest Riesling.

- 1970vintage

That’s what you do for fun? I mean it sounds like a great meal, but meh

Cardio sucks man.

Probably going to get flack on here for saying this, but I've been intermittent fasting (15/9) for the last couple months, and pairing it with keto, and it's been absolutely amazing. Lost a bunch of dad-bod fat and I am now the leanest I have been since about 24.

Ya that’s pretty lame lol. I’m in shape but I run 3.5 days a week and lift weights 4.5 days per week. It sucks but I eat and drink anything and I don’t have to use words like Keto and fasting 🤮

Gym would be my most preferred method of staying in shape, but the wife is on medical leave,
2 year old is a handful, and we just sold our house and move in 2 weeks. No time for the gym right now. Flip side, it's honestly been a fantastic experience. New appreciation for black coffee, and being forced to eat healthy on a low carb diet has done wonders for my overall mood/energy levels.

it is amazing how wired you get from fasting as well. I did 16/8 for a long while. Keto gets super lame after a few months and can't imagine going back that route. Also the no carb thing saps your workouts but if you aren't lifting then no worries.

I dont void myself of carbs, brain needs that for energy. I just monitor/limit. The fasting is fantastic. Hard the first couple weeks but once you're used to it, you just feel so much more alert and upbeat. Also, losing weight while eating bacon and pepperoni sticks is always a plus lol
