At one point, Hayton "almost certainly will play in the NHL." Five sentences later, he's a solid top six player. Pretty impressive improvement for a guy that hasn't played an NHL game yet. I'd call that hyperbole.

I don't think so, he's incredibly talented and is probably going to be a big star.

I don't think what I wrote was confusing at all.

One of your better blogs although pretty short. Could’ve gone into what experts said about the kid, how Elite Prospects describes him, what Chayka said when he drafted him over other guys like Hughes and Zadina who Vancouver and Detroit were jumping with joy to have fall to them.

I think the team needs shooters but also more playmakers who are willing to create their own time and space. Vinnie creates a bit of time and space but this is an area where Keller is lacking. He’s a distant perimeter player most of the time. Panik could be a 30 goal winger playing with Malkin, Kopitar, or Getzlaf. He didn’t get setup a whole lot this past season. A full season of Schmaltz would be nice

Fischer, Connauton, and Richardson all had very high praise for Hayton FWIW. Fischer thinks he could be a top 6 winger this next season

Hughes should have been the pick. Defencemen that make a difference are acquired through the draft. Otherwise you over pay.

I wonder if you go around town complaining how other people in other businesses react to the realities of their profession. Do you stop by the local used car lot and complain about the guy's commercials? Do you go to Walmart with a strongly worded letter about how Craig's Hardware is going out of business?
