Hi you wanna get rid of an Ehlers? Done.
Connor? Sure.
Laine? habsolutely.
Whatever bigger forward pieces you're selling, we're buying.
We've got tons of picks, prospects, NHL calibre D and cap space.
Let's do this. |

my sources say Shero is going hard after Laine . |

First time reading players (I assume under team control) have asked to be moved? Anyone have more details. I hope it’s just Trouba, that would make sense and also make it possible he signs an extension with team acquiring him which would help our return.
Bingo, I’ve often thought Carolina and Winnipeg would be perfect trade partners as we have an abundance of young star forwards and a huge hole on D with Trouba, myers, Chairot all departing. |

This is a guy who has 4 key UFAs to deal with in Laine, Connor, Trouba and Copp. - Peter.Tessier
None of those guys are UFAs.

Connor for Pesce.
They won’t accept that, but try it. Then add.
While I’m here, throw Comrie and Kulikov to Ottawa for a random pick |

Chevy will not do stupid signings that will put the Jets into cap hell for many years like Toronto who will be in when signing Marner making him their third $11 mil per player. Sorry Leafs but its going to be a big problem. Both Laine and Connor will be signed long term at reasonable amounts or be bridged, which will give the Jets 2 more years to work out the players they want to keep and their cap hit for the future. Trouba will be traded at the draft to address their need at center, and the Jets will start promoting some of their young, skilled and cheap draft and develop players. |

I thought the same thing when I read it. You would think his real UFA’s like Myers would be more of an issue at this point. When the opening line of the article is factually incorrect it kind of negates the whole thing. Very sloppy. |

Little, Kulikov, and Wheeler’s deals don’t give me a lot of confidence.
Helle’s isn't amazing either, but it also isn’t bad. Same goes for Buff.
Scheifele, Ehlers, Perreault, and Lowry’s deals give me a lot of confidence. |

Why does everyone keep saying Trouba should be moved to address our center problem?
Here is a list of players we can use effectively at 2C:
Hayes
Lowry
Copp
Perreault (if need be)
With Roslovic an unlikely, but possible option.
Here’s our replacement options for Trouba:
Niku (on his off side)
See the problem?
Our offence will actually be better off shedding Tanev and promoting Vesalainen.
Our defence (sans Trouba) currently consists of Byfuglien, Morrissey, Niku, the corpse of Dmitry Kulikov, and that’s about it |

I agree with your assessmet of Little and Kulikov contracts and I hope that Chevy can move Kulikov at the draf. I fear in 2/3 years Little's will be a big problem if he regresses. Both Connor and Laine's signings have to be handled correctly or the Jets will be a team that has to dump good young players because they can't afford them. |

The problem Rexypoo is that Maurice won't give any of the players you mentioned a chance at the 2c position.
Defense doesn't concern me too much. Jets just have to qualify Beaulieu to keep him. Pair him with Buff. Go with a Morrissey-Niku second pairing. I would like to see the Jets sign Bogdan and given a chance on the third pair. Sign a cheap option like a Ben Lovejoy (to give Jets fans someone to complain about) and role with Poolman as the seventh man |

I wonder who asked for a change? Trouba would be the obvious but we suspected that day would come. But, I wonder if Scheif was pissed enough to ask for a move based on his ruffled feathers and his pouty exit meeting with the media? Hope not. |

So would the Canes do Svechnikov, Pesce and a 2019/20 1st for Laine (Aho's Jr winger), Beaulieu and a 2020 3rd? Just askin'!

poolman is as good as niku if not better
perreault absolutely can not play center, all his positive anylitics go out the window. he even admitted as much in an interview that he can no longer play the position. he is a worse option than roslovic.

Poolman is better than Beaulieu, Lovejoy, Kulikov, Bogdan ( who is reportedly going back to the USSR) and equal if not better than Niku |

they would not, asking way too much from Carolina |

None of those players are effective solutions at 2C except maybe Hayes, but he'll be too expensive to re-sign for Winnipeg. Lowry and Copp are better suited for the bottom-6 and Roslovic isn't ready yet to play on the second line.
The D corps won't be a problem for the Jets even without #8, because they'll likely ask for a young right-handed D in any trade package for Trouba. Their prospect pool in defensive isn't also too thin, they have some good young players such as Sami Niku (L), Tucker Poolman (R), Logan Stanley (L), Luke Green (R), Dylan Samberg (L) and Declan Chisholm (L).

Jets have built one heck of a team. Couple of good runs that required assets. But like others, the stars want/need to get paid. Unpopular decisions will have to be made. This is how GM's earn their stripes |
