Pure curiosity: what would any of you Jets fans want from the Isles for Ehlers? Something acutally reasonable and realistic

I could see it, but I think they'd be hesitant to move Pesce because of how good his contract is. Faulk is by far the most likely to be moved due to contract status.

Gauthier has been miles better than what he was last season. Essentially had to rebuild his game because he got by on just being so much bigger than the other guys in the Q.

Last season he had 17 goals, 27 points in 73 combined games in the AHL and struggled.

This year he jumped up to 31 goals, 46 points in 83 games (so far). He's adapting and has gotten better and better.

- BINGO!

What about Jake bean? Could he be available? How has he developed? I saw him play in Brandon

Bean COULD be available, but I suspect Haydn Fleury would be more likely to go. Ultimately they'll have to trade somebody. There's just not enough room for all the guys they have ready right now.

Not enough as it will take a #2 center with a #1 draft pick to get Trouba.

Trouba is a RFA, couldn't he be offered sheeted? Then, the Jets either say sayonara and take 4 first round picks or match the offer and trade to the offering team?

Lets face it, he doesn't want to be here so I think there are a number of options a team interested in him could do to try and pry him out.

I’m not trading Copp, way more valuable to us than most think. Why does everyone forget how good everyone Copp was in was? When he centered Perreault and Roslovic for three games that was our best line for all three games so why does everyone assume he can’t be a 2nd or 3rd line Center, plus he’s young enough where he is still getting better. He is a late bloomer cause he played football longer.
- Ross77

I am agreeing here with you on Copp. I don't know about a 2nd line center but why not a third? Try him out on the third line, see how it goes, maybe try in a second role? IN any event, I am holding onto to Copp. Priced well, defensively strong, plus 50 or some frickin thing like that on his career plus minus. No trade here, nothing to see.....

I like Copp. But the Hamilton trade was; Hamilton(25) a 40 point winger Ferland (26) and Fox (turned into a 2nd round pick) for a 40 point center Lindolm (24) and Hanifin(21) a 30 point dman.

Some jets fans will want more but this is realistic as to what might get it done at the end of the day

seriously though - don't think Ehlers is available as he has outstanding skillset and on a managed contract. To overpay and pry him away... Pulock & Nelson? I don't think there is anything that will work for both teams as I don't think you will like that.

Trouba is a year away from free agency and he has made it very clear by not signing extensions he doesn’t want to stay here any longer than he has to,
why would he risk signing an offer sheet that the Jets could match, keeping him here long term?

Regardless of where he ends up, what do you guys think Trouba's next contract will/should look like? Assuming its a long term deal

Gm Chevy has been quiet because he doesn't air his business in public. He doesn't give the media much to go on, so they speculate among themselves, 9 times out of 10 it's all fantasy made up non sense.
Just because Chevy isn't saying anything to the media, or coming out and making statements doesn't mean they aren't doing anything.
I think he will assemble a roster that is pretty close to what we saw last year, I don't expect any crazy trades involving Ehlers. In fact the only name I can see being traded this summer is Trouba but I'm not even sure that's going to happen. I'd rather see him sign with the Jets.

I would rather the Jets turn this into a package deal.

To Buff: Adam Lowry, Jacob Trouba, 2019 second round pick

To WPG: Sam Reinhardt, Rasmuss Ristolainen, 2019 first round pick

With all the changes in management & coaching over the past year, it is very hard to say what the organization thinks, but I can tell you that the fan base is extremely high on Sanheim (Provorov & Myers too), and probably wouldn't be on board with moving him for Trouba. Some fans are very disappointed in Patrick thus far, but I think the majority realize that he's still young & developing. Plus the Flyers are in no position to be dealing a center. My guess is that they're looking to add at that position.
Personally I would not want to move Sanhiem for Trouba, but would consider a deal involving Patrick as long as there were plans to add another NHL ready center via FA or a different trade

Organizations sometimes have to make difficult decisions. I like the idea of Ghost and The 11 OA for Trouba. But let’s make it fun.

I love Ehlers but if it nets us a #1 Center, I am willing to make the sacrifice.

To EDM: Nikolai Ehlers, Adam Lowry, 2019 second round pick, Dylan Sandburg

To WPG: Leon Draisatl

Holy macamonees, you have Lowry on every deal? Edmonton goes deep into the playoffs with this compliment of Jets.

If I'm Yzerman, I would offer Athanasiou (C), Hronek (RHD) and a 1st round pick to Winnipeg in exchange for J. Trouba. Do you like this trade offer Jets fans?

Sorry I don't think Chevy would make his trade as the Jets would want a better center and don't need a prospect like Hronek. The #1 is great however.
