andres lee to the flyers - 2Real
Lee was more of a certainty to return than Nelson so methinks you're going to be disappointed on that one.
Eberle will be out there though. |

Not a great deal for a 27 year old who had a career year last year of 53 points IMO. |

lol what? Which UFA would've signed for that AAV and been a better choice? Kevin Hayes is probably going to get $7M on the open market and he's got a career high of.........55pts. |

He's a 2C so I think that is a fair deal. Once Nylander is on our team we should be good to go....lol....just being Salty. But seriously, Nelson is a guy that thrives in the Trotz system and wants to be here. That goes a long way. |

Lou is bad with contracts.
Is anyone going to defend it that knocked the Nylander deal? |

And when Nylander gets 6.9 people freak out. He has 2 61 point seasons in only 2 full seasons at age 22.
Double-standard. |

6 million is the new 5 million. Eberle Hall and RNH each got 6 like 5 years ago. Nylander is at just under 7 Turris is at 6 and Duchene likely gets 9-10. so its a fair deal
Not great and not bad but fair

Calling this Nelson deal bad is laughable. He's locked up through the remainder of his prime and maybe a year past it at a completely reasonable number. Nylander's deal has absolutely nothing to do with it. |

You are comparing it to deals signed years ago when 6 million was a lot. |

Looking forward to hearing why Brock Nelson is worth 6 x $6 but William MNylander at 6 x $6.9 is a bad contract and the player stinks. - Deeps27
All the crap other fanbases said about Nylander. LOL. Hilarious.
Does anyone want Nelson over Nylander? |

No it's not Roeper you're just not intellectually able to understand the criticism. With Tavares Mathews and Kadri already at center paying Nylander near 7 when you still have to sign Marner is short sighted.
At best Nylander is a 3C in that situation. And near 7M for a 3C is not smart.
Just because you don't have the mental acuity to grasp that doesn't mean it's not true |
