Amusing read, Stewie.

Just be glad you were a part of “the good ole days” when there was common sense, and leeway with policies and procedures. Today is mostly a sterile environment, where every word or action is viewed under the microscope of litigation and political correctness. I remember the days of officials name on their jersey, and the colorful personalities that made being around the NHL so much fun!

Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend!

Hopefully these refs won't ruin the series and we won't have an unjust Stanley Cup Champion

In every series this playoffs the team that won the series earned and deserved it - regardless of the officiating. This includes SJ beating LVGK. Yes there has been some bad officiating (the worst was in the Bruins/Canes series) but it has at worst influenced the outcome of individual games - not entire series. The only way it can influence who wins the Stanley Cup is if comes down to an OT game 7, which to my knowledge has never happened before.

It doesn't have to be game 7 for a blown call in OT to end a series. Just go ask a Sabres fan about blown OT calls deciding games.

I might be one of the few Sabres fans who think this way, but even in that case, it proves his point. We're all bitter about that no-call, but we also choose to employ selective memory and ignore the fact that they had scored 1 goal since the 2nd period of Game 4 of that series (they were shut out in Game 5, and scored only one goal in game 6, which went to 3 overtimes). In other words, they scored only one goal in well over 220 minutes of play. That's the real reason they lost the series, no matter how much "No Goal" sucked.
