These are the two teams I have watched most, and can honestly say that Severson appears to be the better player. Maybe we could get a discount if we offered a cap absorbing option, such as Vats + Zajac both at 50% salary retention for Trouba and Kulikov. Jets would shed 11-12M and take on just 5.3M. I am sure we would have to add a pick or prospect but the Jets are desperate for some cap relief, and Zajac is a winnipeg boy......

no, this will not get it done. you can dislike trouba all you want but he has been top 20 for D 5v5 points three years in row, is a top 20 D analytics and is 25 year old right shot entering his prime as seen by his 50 point season.
again, everyone can have an opinion but his value around the league is much higher than you'd be willing to spend.

and I should add two things,
the video of Trouba breaking Mathews Shoulder with a clean hit when Mathews tried to get to the front of the net alone will pay him more.

and i would take Zajac if you will take Little and get him to waive his no move

Especially since Severson has such a team friendly contract. Maybe it's just me but I really like Severson. I think he is a good top 4 dman and the 4.1M he is making is really good.

For some reason there are a lot of fans who hate Severson and I don't really get what they are seeing because he's good.

I said you would likely have to add picks or prospects to the package. And maybe Trouba has decent 5v5 stats. What about the time he puts his team on the pk? Also, he is sheltered behind Buff. I have a hard time seeing a guy be a top 20 D in this league 3 years running after breaking his previous career high 33 points......Where did you get these stats?

And you are right about Little. He will be an issue. Maybe he is willing to waive his no movement, but that is a contract far beyond what the devs should absorb. We can afford 3 years max, as a bad contract. Perhaps he would be a good fit in Ott, where J.G Paggeau is currently their #1C

The top 20 points three years in a row is at 5v5, its been published many times in the athletic and on twitter. This was his first year getting significant pp time so his stats saw the climb to 50. Although I do agree he is not a great choice for a a team’s top pp.

He doesn’t play behind Buff. Trouba faces the other teams best lines more than Buff.

Yes I’ll admit, little
For zajac was entirely based on years left and wishful thinking on my part. I can ask, lol

ATS played much better 2 seasons ago ....He was our #1 dma after getting traded and has a great shot.....
I think he was hurt....last season ...maybe negging ....

His 17 point last season were a career low...

I look for him to bounce back and would not trade him yet......

His normal point production is 35 not 17.....
