I would rather the Jets go out and offer sheet Marner. Give up our four 1st round picks, then have another team offer sheet Laine and take their four 1st round picks.

We would get a better player and in all likelihood, better draft positioning.

i don't consider Trouba young anymore. He's the same age as the new messiah, Tucker Poolman. At 25 years years old, and being a 6 year veteran, he's on the old side in the new NHL.
