Out of the 3 you listed, I prefer Zegras. He may not have the elite skating of Hughes, but he pretty much has everything else. Sadly he has been overshadowed because people feel he was just a passenger on Hughes wing. |

I don’t make a draft list but any forward in that list except the Russian kid would do me just fine at #10. I trust Brackett and his methods. More than any of you knuckleheads anyways |

Broberg may be available at 10. He could be great. If Broberg is gone, I don't know.. It's tough... It really depends on what the Nucks are looking for. Quality Dmen are never bad. Juolevi hasn't panned out the way they'd hoped so far, so nabbing Broberg might be a good move. If they don't take Broberg, I can see them going after a smaller C and turning him into a winger. Turcotte or Krebs maybe. |

We already have a better version of Caufield’s skillset in Boeser. A guy who really does little else but find open areas (requires that space to be created by others), & take high quality/accurate shots (requires accurate/timely passes from an elite distributor). A dependant skillset like that wouldn’t thrive on Horvat’s line & can NOT be put on both sides of Pettersson (unless we want to ruin him - Elias needs a winger to create with). So Caufield would be an absolutely useless pick.
I want Zegras, Dach or Boldy. |

Carol Schram: Who should the Vancouver Canucks pick at 10 in the HockeyBuzz mock draft?
Need your feedback! I'm picking for the Canucks in the HockeyBuzz mock draft and I want your input. - Carol Schram
Canucks should trade the pick for some veteran leadership.
A forward who can teach the young kids how to put the puck in the net, because he's scored 20 or more in 15 seasons.
Veteran contracts can sometimes come back to haunt you, so the Canucks shouldn't trade for a guy with too much term left. A guy with only a year remaining would be perfect.
Needs to be a guy who has plenty of experience in the Pacific Division.
Not many guys in the league who meet all these requirements.
But if you can find a guy like that, it would be well worth it to trade the 1st round pick for him. If the Canucks could do that, I'd celebrate by opening a nice bottle of red wine. Maybe a Cab, maybe a Merlot... |

I would take berger from the grizzlies in the 4th or 5th round if available, I only seen him play a few games in the playoffs against the kings and his skating really caught my eye, I started googling him right away. |

Have you been told to (frank)off yet today? If not, consider this the first. |

FWIW Pronman did a mock draft of how he thought things would go and had Vancouver picking Caufield with the likes of Boldy, Podkolzin and Newhook still available. Such a crapshoot after 2 |

He’s wrong, a lot. He spends more time explaining post draft why he didn’t see things the way he really should have. |

Seriously tho, has anyone including McKenzie, Button etc.....not been wrong a lot?
There is not one Mock Draft I have ever seen that was even remotely close. It is what it is, fodder for discussion... |

For the most part, Mock Drafts are stupid & useless. Rankings matter way more. |

I’ve never seen a completely accurate prediction, however, I’ve seen guys go 7/10, which is pretty damn good. Unlike most of your posts |

This. The one thing is that there should be a high quality winger there, especially if broberg or soderstrom get picked by Holland (I think this is a no-brainer). July 1 Holland brings in Kronwall to steady the backend. Anyway, which wingers fall there is a total crapshoot. I think Boldy might, love to see him picked. |
