It should have been an off setting call for trip and embellishment. Accari's other leg went up for no reason, but either way, whistle should have been blown before goal.

My issue, as always is the lack of consistency across a series and even a game. If you don't want to call it a trip (which it was), then fine, but don't call anything. Either call everything (within reason) or call nothing. Don't call everything one game/period and nothing the next.

Was it a penalty? Absolutely. Did both teams get away with murder last night? Absolutely.

Imagine if that happened in overtime, and the game is over and your opponent now has the lead in the series because of it and there's no review and the referees just all skate to the Zamboni gate and leave the ice and that's that.

How horrible would that be?

Both teams didn't get away with murder last night. 2 headshots plus that trip were missed, it's inexcusable.

I hate the narrative that because a team got away with a bad call before that now they don't get to complain... fack outta here to all those people.

Overall the reffing is atrocious in these playoffs. Numerous games decided by the reffing, numerous injuries caused... it's a bad look for the league.

Please put on skates and skate backwards and let me kick your legs out from under you.... Then tell me that was embellishment. Jesus Christ people, who cares if you hate the the Bruins or their past just try a dash of objectivity.

I'm sure if Montreal was in the playoffs, in the Cup final, and something like this happened you wouldn't be upset at all over it.

Penguins fan, in Colorado, rooting for Blues because they haven't won it.

THAT NON-CALL WAS AWFUL.

Every league has bad calls and non-calls but it's 2 parts trip, 3 parts slew-footing. Could ruin a player's career with that whiplash.

NUTZ!

The officiating across every series has been poor. Unacceptable in cases as the hand pass or Vegas. Every ref who has worked this post season should be fired.

That being said, The Bruins needed to find ways to win. Real champions power through bad officiating. Whining about it makes you a loser, a Leafs fan...Same thing.

Sure, Bruins got away with absolutely nothing last night, everyone else is always picking on them.

The Accari embellishment doesn’t seem to generate much discussion... he was trying to sell the penalty and it backfired on him.

I thought the hit on Krug was worse, honestly. That, to me, was the worst non-call of the game.

Of course we'd be upset.

But the irony of alot (not all) of bruins fans complaining after the missed call after spending 3 rounds telling other teams to "stop complaining about refs" is delicious to everyone else.

But yeah, it should be have been a penalty, reffing has been atrocious all playoffs long. You have every right to complain about it. Just like other teams did when it happened to them.

Apparently reading is hard... I didn't say they never got away with anything but the amount STL got away with last night is awful. I NEVER complain about reffing... it's usually sh!t but last night was the worst ive seen over 60 minutes

You're right! I really do want to see the Blues hoist the cup, therefore, Im sticking w/ the embelishment theory.

With two wins in his back pocket since comments after Game 3, and the bulk of calls going his way in Game 5, Berube no longer wants to comment on the officiating.

If you look closely at the replay, you’ll note a 2nd slew-footer positioned in the grassy knoll...

Are you guys actually talking embellishment? Have you ever had your leg kicked out from underneath you from behind... On Skates... On Ice...

That is a penalty. Plain and simple.. A play the NHL has been trying to get rid of.
