Great effort and series Boston. I've been a fan of your team for years (we love the hard-nosed style here in St. Louis).

(frank)ing brutal.

Great season despite the outcome. Bruins faced adversity all season long and took it to the wire.

This hurts more than Chicago, and I was there. That hurt, but Chicago was the better team. Blues deserved the win, no doubt, but this should have been a very winnable series for the Bruins. Everything fell their way this playoffs. I'm kinda numb.

This series would have been much shorter if not for Rask ... excellent all postseason.

It’s not like B’s didn’t have their chances last night. Multiple great looks and just stupid saves by Bennington.

Wonder if that was it for big Z ???

B’s D is gonna be ridiculous next year.

Agreed on both counts, Chicago was better. Boston could have won this time though. Hot goalie in game 7, and Bergeron not on his game for whatever reason, made the difference.

Just glad the refs didn't factor into the outcome and it was a clean win.
Krech lives in NC, so maybe there's a spot for him there?

Big mistakes by questionable players in Marchand, Krug, and McAvoy (questionable in that they often cross the line) turned into goals against last night - this made me happy. Still, I feel for MoJo, Coyle, Bergeron, and most of all Rask who all played so well

It may sting but look at it this way, your team was there and it could have gone your way easily. Nothing to be down about. You guys have a team that other teams fans envy.

Great season by the Bruins. I imagine (because I have to) it's tough losing at the very end, but I feel like you'll all be looking at this season as a big success in the future.

And if Rask can build on this year's playoff success I surely don't want to face them again next season (although we definitely will have to).

McAvoy got caught with his pants down on that Tarasenko-to-Schenn goal to make it 3-0, but hard to blame anything on that kid given the way he played all playoffs long

He had a fantastic playoff (I hate him). Everyone is going to make a mistake. I don't think any blame accrues to him.

Bruins young defensemen as whole had a great playoffs. Probably not the time for them to be happy about that right now, but McAvoy, Carlo, Grzelcyk, and Clifton all really emerged, to varying degrees, as really good young players. McAvoy was the best, but Carlo really impressed me as well. He was a horse.

you see this stuff all the time: one team dominates can't get it past a goalie who makes save after save and then the team getting dominated finds the net on the few chances they had...

the 2nd late goal was the killer...can't go off for change with only seconds remaining and the attacking team in transition...petrangelo made a great backhand flip shot up and over stick side. rask took away the lower part of the net as he should have...

tough break...bruins were my cup choice since R1. never expected the blues to get anywhere near a cup let alone win it...but they were very good 5 on 5 with relentless physical forecheck...

i think s/he is calling Krug and McAvoy questionable players as in dirty players. Marchand is (frank)ing rat obviously but what have Krug and McAvoy done?

Yeah. Future on the backend looks bright! The forward core however is aging. You never know what can happen but that may have been their last shot. Can't expect things would break like they did during this post season. Teams like Tampa, and the Caps getting knocked early.

Probably better than having an aging blueline, honestly. Bruins will always be a top FA destination being a big/successful market and an Original Six team and you don't typically see high-end defenseman make it to July 1st.
