Has anyone been keeping track of any draftees whose real-life ranking was above where they have been/will be selected?
Where has Spreadsheet gone to?????

It’s pretty much been chalk compared to most of these mocks. Tomasino went 12 so that’s probably the reachiest of picks
Surprised Karine didn’t go with Lavoie being French Canadian and all. York is good pick tho - Slimtj100
As deadpoulet said the need at LHD is too great and as for Lavoie there seems to be a lot of concern about consistency of effort...Plus, and this is my own personnal view only, I'm not keen on Montréal taking French Canadians...The pressure and scrutiny is hard to handle for older guys so to me, this is not a place a young guy wants to find himself. I mean when the took Louis Leblanc in the first round at 18th overall when the draft was in Montréal i was not best pleased...And looking at the results, I was right lol
However if it was a generational talent or Something of the likes I'd be willing to pick them but not Lavoie
"It's a great opportunity for myself and my fiancee", said Trouba, whose partner is about to start her residency in her quest to become a doctor. "Her career is as important as my career. We both are passionate about different things and our goal from a couple years back was we wanted to make this work. And we decided we wanted to make this work. This is part of it, to be realistic with you. ..."
That sounds like a couple who each want their own professional careers to be in New York, as to one reason why the Rangers were one of only a few teams Trouba would be willing to sign with if dealt by the Jets. That could also be the reason for the Jets accepted the Rangers lower offer, if indeed those other rumors were factual in other teams offering a greater return.

makes sense why he "couldnt" be traded to another canadian team.
I think that could be an option. Not sure what would be coming back. - deadpoulet
I don’t really know either and, with no trolling intended, I don’t love a lot of what the Habs have to realistically (keyword here) offer. I like Danault one-for-one but understand it’d probably be tough for them to part with him at this point in time.
I assume you won’t like it, but given the fact that Hamonic fetched a 1st and two 2nd’s…I’d probably be fine with something along the lines of that for him, too.

Word is that Trouba had no issue with playing for the Jets, nor in the city of Winnipeg. It was mainly family related, and due to his fiancee's career goal to become a doctor, after just graduating from medical school in preparing to start her internship, as to why it was more suitable for him to play hockey in the U.S., and in a city to well accommodate both's careers.

I would rather keep the picks.
I would consider it for Danault. I'm not sur KK is ready to play in the top 6 just yet and we have not seen much from Poehling but I think Bergevin should still think about it. You do it if Duchene ends up in Montreal, but it's not likely he will.
